How many people here have their First Aid Certificate?

A new First Aider was driving home from his last class when he came upon a traffic accident. He grabbed his first aide kit and rushed forward. Carefully shooing everyone from the immediate area he began to work. One fellow would not leave the scene so the first aider yelled at him to leave the area immediately. The intruder turned to go and as he left said, "OK but if you need any help let me know. I am a trauma room doctor and I am in the third car in that lineup".

Don't you need some sort of it if you have a driver's licence?
Thevy29 · 41-45, M
@CrazyMusicLover Which country do you live in? I'm here in Australia
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
@Thevy29 Slovakia. Of course, the first aid course is just a formality, usually organized by the driving course you attend. It looks like this: a competent person is invited for one day, gives you a lecture about the first aid, they might give you a quick test but don't have to and that's it. You're handed a "certificate". There's no real extensive first aid course needed but if you have it, all the better.

Do I need a certificate to put the band-aid on my wound? ugghh next is you ask me a certificate to boil eggs
Thevy29 · 41-45, M
@Donotfolowme So you know what to do if someone is: stung by irukandji jellyfish, Blue ringed octopus. Snake bite, conch shell, stone fish, bee.
The difference between an asthma attack and anaphylaxis. How to treat someone who has had a stroke. Heart attack.
Do CPR, use a defibrillator for both adult or baby.

You probably know more then your realize, and the chance that you'll have to use any First aide is remote. But with a high probability it will be a family member who needs it.
