Betray how? Consciously and intentional or ignorantly?

@swirlie How one feels is not solely dictated by what the other thinks. Someone might feel betrayed by something you did unconsciously. You don't get to tell them not to feel betrayed just because you didn't think you did it.
Stuff happens. No two people are the same.
Betrayal happens when there is a certain amount of trust. It's funny if you can remain ignorant, but time lets people grow up, see things. Who really knows if it would be good for your inner child if you never get to understand that? But then, life has a way of making you see things you never even thought were real.

What's actually funnier to me is that I've never heard the word "swirlie" referring to a toilet head flush until I became a member of SW. I think that college prank must be a British thing or something because a few Brits on here were the first to raise issue with my username a while back! 😏

@swirlie I'm quite surprised, because swirlies were all the rage in my middle and high school days (ages 11 to about 15) and always involved grabbing the unsuspecting victim - usually me - by the ankles and performing the old dunk-and-flush. And, I'm an American. In the age range I mentioned, that was considered a terrible insult. But, your gymnastics club called you that with no toilet involved? Sounds cute.
