EP/SW used to feel like a non intimidating room of diverse friends.

I get it, it’s been weird here lately. Sometimes I get that "you don't belong here" vibe, being excluded. But hey, there are people who wanted to interact. The feed’s just a mess sometimes. You're a wonderful person, you’ve always had people who appreciated you, even if it didn’t show up the way it should’ve. 🫂❤

This is the vibe that began to creep in right after EP became SW. At least I sensed it, so I left for a few years. Only recently did I return to see how things are now, if I missed anything noteworthy. What I feel now is even less emotional effort being put into simple interaction, to legitimate posts, to sharing the human condition. Now, it seems to be mostly memes, selfies with silly questions attached, and copy/paste nonsense. I couldn't even reach my target vote count for a simple poem title poll to see what people would like to read.

If you go, I understand why, but there are still those who care to interact.

It’s true the responses I receive always seem lacking sort of ai ish and when real “connection” does occur it’s over quick. EP and SW early on had a more personal interaction feel; overall the internet in general and social media in particular is being overwhelmed by fake profiles clickbait and bots.
I say you’ve noticed this too, now they (the oligarchs) are replacing workers with robots. All is lost

Sorry to hear that Fox. I’m not sure what happened or what’s going on. I’m interacting less on a whole, mostly because being here was beginning to interfere with work and real life. But I also get the need to step back. Hope you find some peace.

I don't get that many comments either, people seem to be selective over who's post they comment on.
I often feel resented here for one reason or another and this is why people don't or won't comment lol.
It's all very childish and clique-y
But I say screw 'em.
