It’s been a busy but good week. Still playing catch up but weathers been nice. College football and hanging with the fam this weekend.

You?
FoxyQueen · 51-55, F
@BillyMack It's chore weekend, so along with chores, I'm going to finally can those peaches I have, put up some solar lights in the chicken run and play computer games.

Thanks for asking!

HiFiRaver · 18-21, M
My week was good. My boyfriend and I moved into a new apartment on the 1st, but it's been mostly empty the past couple of weeks (in part because we've been traveling). We're back in L.A. now, and it's time to get this place furnished. Yesterday we went to Ikea and bought a lot of household items (some major furnishings were already included). It's a lot to think about and a bit overwhelming. I've only ever lived with my parents or in a dorm, so this is different. But it's so fun to do all this with him. We haven't been living together very long, but it's already clear it's not going to be an issue. This weekend we're spending time with a friend who's coming up from San Diego. Classes don't start until 9/25, so this is still summer break for me.

@HiFiRaver Enjoy this time. They call these "salad days" and often times, they are the best times!
Mellowgirl · 31-35, F
Weeks been productive but tiring. Best part was watching my son interact at nursery. It's definitely the right time for him to go and the right environment. This weekend is time for me to rest. Life is going to be full on again in weeks to come. Wbu?
FoxyQueen · 51-55, F
@Mellowgirl I'm glad you are getting time to rest!

I have been trying to get things done before I switch positions at work. It feels like there is so much to do and not enough time to do it. And my boss hasn't hired anyone yet that I know of, so my time to train is getting less and less.

Thanks for asking!

It was a rough week. Having concerns about cancer being back, my son and I are both sick and I'm just trying to understand what happened to me so I can make improvements. It's not good or bad, it's just life and I'm doing my best.
FoxyQueen · 51-55, F
@ScreamingFox your best is the best. ❤
SageWanderer · 70-79, M
@ScreamingFox I ce again it seems that your life mirrors my daughters as both her and the grandson are sick.
SageWanderer · 70-79, M
I had a very productive week accomplishing projects in the house. The favorite part was getting wallpaper down and walls painted. No real frustrations this week just a few minor inconveniences. So, with that accomplished plans are to take advantage of the weather and enjoy the outdoors this weekend.

Hope your weekend is relaxing, refreshing and fulfilling.
FoxyQueen · 51-55, F
@SageWanderer Yay for the outdoors!

I walk outside by the light of the full moon the last couple of mornings and think of you.
SlippingAway · 46-50, F
The week was alright. My favorite part was getting some sleep I needed. Frustrating part a day full of meetings yesterday. Weekend plans a memorial service for my Aunt.
FoxyQueen · 51-55, F
@SlippingAway So sorry for your loss ❤
SlippingAway · 46-50, F
@FoxyQueen Thank you
Fieldmaster · 46-50, M
@SlippingAway Glad you got sleep.

Ugh..the day full of meetings, i know exactly what it feels like when you go one meeting to only discuss what discuss in the next two meetings... crazy!

My deep condolences!

@Fieldmaster I hope your week ends on a high note! Sounds like it's been frustrating.

Just chores, canning, putting up some solar lighting and playing computer games. Fairly busy, but should still be relaxing.

Thanks for asking!
Fieldmaster · 46-50, M
@FoxyQueen thank you.
I hope yours also.

It has been both rewarding and frustrating, and also highly productive.
We had a pretty good week. Weather is changing to cooler temperatures. Just enjoyed my exercise time. Nothing too interesting
Ferric67 · M
I got a stye on my eye this week

How was your week foxy
FoxyQueen · 51-55, F
@Ferric67 Ouch! I hope you can take care of that soon!

A mixed bag really. More thoughtful than usual. Dealing with work burn out.
Pretzel · 70-79, M
Friday at 5:00 p.m. will be the best part

and the most frustrating part is training a person with no ability to comprehend instructions or retain training
Pretzel · 70-79, M
@FoxyQueen I considered that...But I can see from how she reads emails from others and needs them explained to her that she has trouble with reading and comprehending.

Don't know if she has an undiagnosed learning disability - I'm certainly no expert.

Even tried another person training her in small tasks and he has to walk her through it - repeatedly. Having the same results.

The job IS very technical and detailed and requires the use of a proprietary software package.

She's a nice person but we are both frustrated with her lack of understanding and progress.
FoxyQueen · 51-55, F
@Pretzel Yeah, a detail oriented job sounds like it isn't for her. I'm sad for her and frustrated for you.
Pretzel · 70-79, M
@FoxyQueen She's just about through the training program but I have to give monthly training reports and document her difficulties

I hate that part of the job - this is literally the first hire in 13 years that we made the wrong choice. She interviewed well - it's just the execution that's lacking
