Wasn't he that guy who played basketball?
Michael Jordan Peterson, yes!

Great "before and after" Jeopardy! question! lol

Thank you, sack of garden implements, for showing us humor... 😉@HoeBag

I used to like him because I thought he seemed genuine, had interesting ideas, and was very open about his own struggles.

But as time went on I started to realize that he had a very rigid worldview and all of his talking points and meanderings were just like watching mental gymnastics. He would take many different puzzle pieces and force them to fit together whether they actually did or not, and then turn his rage on anyone who didn't see things the way that he saw them.

He has a very high opinion of himself and his capabilities, to the point where it's almost impossible to get through to him and get him to consider a different point of view. Getting older, I realize that pseudo-intellectualism is probably some kind a defense mechanism or coping strategy for him. It's not uncommon for people to use rationalizations to protect their own ego.
@TinyViolins Sorry; he wrote Chariots of the Gods? and follow-up books which were arguing for extra-terrestrial visitors to Earth memorialized in ancient carvings and other symbols.

@SomeMichGuy Never read it, but a lot of what Peterson says mirrors the type of strategy people use to promote the 'ancient aliens' theory
@TinyViolins He has also perfected his presentation as an amazing savant...

He takes himself way too seriously and after I saw him throwing a tantrum over some transgender theme I barely can take him seriously at all. Just another conservative who thinks it's bad to be emotional over things that personally doesn't affect him but it's totally justified if it hits the string in him.
He’s not someone I really think about. He’s against much of what I value, and has occasionally indicated a certain amount of bigotry.

I enjoy listening to his Podcasts and posts.

Dont agree with everything but people need to quit always being a victim and relize they did it to them selves and take some personal responsibility
Hard to know what thoughts I should have on him when the only images I have in my mind are based on his critics foaming at the mouth over him
He does not make me proud to be Canadian.

@ThePatientAnarchist ATTENDEZ! ça veut dire qu'il a joué au hockey?

Whew, je ne sais pas et j'imagine que c'est evident. 😬
@HoeBag c'est juste qu'il est canadien... mais c'est pas de ma faute!!
