@AnonymousBOY It's definitely a balance, but I don't think compromises should make people unhappy. There should usually be a middle ground which everyone feels comfortable with.

To enjoy life you need security. To have security you need a well paying job in something with transferable skills, so you can recover quickly if you are ever laid off. You have to be good at your job and learn all you can.
You also need money in the bank, enough for at least half a year of rent or mortgage payments in case recovery is needed.
You need a nice bed to sleep in, somewhere safe and comfortable.
You need friends and family as backup. A wife/husband makes a good sounding board for frustrations and to bounce ideas off.
Food in the fridge/cupboard.
People that love you.
Drugs/Booze/Smoking are all massively negative things, they destroy your future, shorten your life, take away options, empty your bank account, cause you to lose family/friends, all bad things.
Exercise, find a partner, take college classes, learn new skills, find a well paying job. Then you can feel good and enjoy life.

@JamesBugman Are you enjoying life? Just asking
@AnonymousBOY Sometimes I get bored when it rains, and Winters are generally pretty boring, but otherwise, when I am exploring or playing guitar, or buying crap I enjoy life tremendously. The battle is real though.

I was looking back over my life a few days ago, and I was amazed at how much I have enjoyed life vs. how seldom I have been miserable. The good has far outweighed the bad, even though things often didn't turn out the way I hoped.

Some people enjoy it very much .. compromise can be good or bad depending on what it was about..
AnonymousBOY · 26-30New
@YoMomma like most of the people do not live life they want

@AnonymousBOY true.. not everyone is so fortunate but still people manage to find happiness anyway 🙂

nope certainly not , but it's true that sometimes we have to compromise for living , if not live than what's the meaning of life ?
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
why can't one enjoy life and still compromise?
JimboSaturn · 56-60, M
Not getting your way on everything should not ruin your life.
Nightwings · 31-35, F
@JimboSaturn Maybe it's a situation where he's the only one who has to make real compromises. It could be that someone is controlling, doesn't want him to hang out with his friends, or wants him to give up his hobbies and interests. I could see that feeling life ruining. /=

Why do you think that those are mutually exclusive, [AnonymousBOY]? No two people will ever totally agree on everything.
It should be balanced.
AnonymousBOY · 26-30New
@littlepuppywantanewlife Yes I agree 💯

That's an odd and false dichotomy...
Ferise1 · 46-50, M
What kind of compromise?
