What should I do to enjoy life again?

I have various hobbies I enjoy Trains (die hard railfan), Paleontology, Zoology, Astronomy, and Geography. I like fiction such as Star Wars, especially the first six movies plus the original expanded universe (now called Legends), and I like Mortal Kombat, especially like the story in it. I like music, some of my favorite artists are The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Rainbow, Blue Oyster Cult, Queen, Thin Lizzy, Aerosmith, Night Ranger, BTO, Mountain, Moxy, Scorpions, UFO, Uriah Heep, Metallica, Megadeth, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Pink Floyd, Rush, Yes, Jethro Tull, Styx, Journey, ELO, The Bangles, Fleetwood Mac, Jimi Hendrix, Cream, Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughan, The Doors, Bob Dylan, CCR, John Lennon, Tom Petty, Triumph, Santana, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Foo Fighters, M83, Sigur Ros, Montrose, Van Halen, The Allman Brothers Band, and Johnny Cash.

I have had OCD for years and it has ruined my life. I can't read like I used to be able to. Much of the music I once enjoyed now sounds so generic. I also take peroxitine and all I want to do is sleep. I want to enjoy life again. What do I do?

I am currently tying to find joy in life and realized that my suffering is coming from my attachment to this desire. .. I have found that removing my attachments does remove the suffering .. but it's a big change .. I don't know how everyone will react .. but I have found some peace and working on more .. .. we are not meant to be the storm, but the empty sky that the storm moves through.

I'm not a doctor nor do I play one. But you might find it interesting to google Psilocybin Treatment for OCD if you haven't already.

Maybe give yourself panic attacks? And what better way to give yourself panic attacks by doing things your OCD makes you avoid? Then you'll feel alive!

I have panic attacks but I enjoy it. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!
Get out there spotting trains again... there are entire YouTube channels dedicated to everything from railway fixtures to the trains themselves these days.

You might even get to meet up with fellow spotters and make you some new friends, too.

Maybe adjust your meds so you have energy. Then just look up things to do in your area and do them.

Do you do any physical exercise ? Do you take walks in nature? Do you take sunlight? Do you sing or dance ? Do you meet other people ? Do you eat plenty of fresh unprocessed foods ? Do you drink enough water ?
...sometime the answers are more simple than we think...:)

why does everyone blame everything wrong with themselves on ocd, adhd and ptsd most people just pretend to have it and are looking for drugs
storykid · 31-35, M
