What are you doing right now? Besides answering 😺

I was listening to a Youtuber couple explaining how they've got duped by some guy. 🙈😆 They moved to Spain about a year ago and built an online community through Youtube livestreams. Basically, they share very useful info about their life there, the prices, climate, politics, crime rate, what someone who wants to move there needs to know, the paperwork needed etc. it's pretty interesting to me. I've been following them for some time now and about two months ago they started talking about some member of their community who announced them that he was very ill, writing from the hospital and eventually they only communicated with some guy who claimed to be his caretaker because the man couldn't write anymore. He sent them a few voicemails with some background beeping that it really sounded like from the hospital. In each livestream, they would then update about him, usually that they learned his state was serious. Eventually, the caretaker joined the livestream chats in person, which was pretty weird but okay, I just watched it as a lurker and didn't care too much about their internal stuff within their community. Then during one livestream this guy came and told them in a chat that he sent an email to them and that he got bad news. They read the email live and of course, the bad news was that this member of their community had died. (Extremely suspicious to me but okay...why would anybody do that during the livestream? But I thought, okay, a foreigner, maybe different culture or something or a weird personality). Most of those people there were shook, they couldn't go on with the livestream anymore so they wrapped it up. Then they released another two videos as the homage to that man... Long story short, last weekend someone let them know that they saw the very same profile of that allegedly dead man commenting under another video and he seemed very much alive. 😅😆 Same style of writing. How far are some people able to go for pity and attention. Omg.
