And hearing his side of it makes me feel so bad for what I said.

He asked me if I think it's the right time to be considering a relationship, and also told me he's just here and there's no rush etc

He's so kind and I feel bad for hurting him and I am afraid I might have messed it up already, but hopefully not

Our anxiety really can get the best of us. I’m so sorry you have to go through that. I can’t begin to tell you the awful things my mind lies to me about when I like someone lol. It’s ridiculous but it feels so real when I’m in the moment and my mind is racing thinking I’m not good enough and so much more. And the thing is that he might not understand is that really it’s not about him and what he did/didn’t do and all about the tricks your mind plays on you. It’s exhausting, I know.

@tiltawhirl that's exactly it. You get stuck in this crazy spiral, and afterward you feel so awful and guilty because you see what happened.

And I explained to him that it's not about anything he did wrong, but just that I essentially triggered myself into it 😣

@SW-User he really is being, I'm just scared I've pushed him away or caused doubt

He's still talking to me like normal but I feel so guilty and I'm so anxious I can't eat and I feel sick 😣

@Straylight I told him that I really like him, and that I didn't know these issues would surface, but that I think I am in a stage of my healing to understand it, and I have the right therapist

Which I know is not a straight-forward answer, but how do you ever really know if it's the right time?
