Does your HS graduation yearbook reflect who you are now?

Or are you completely different than what your peers then thought you would be

this is a great question!

not so much. i scrapped by hin high school and if they had a list of most likley to not succeed list i would have been on it. i was a conservative christian, and largely invsible

now i kicked JC to the curb an am an atheist . i am successful, and have a wide and strong social circle

but the more intersting thing for me / and it think it applies to a lot of people, is i put my high school small town in my rear view mirror soon after high school and ventured out into the world. I think a lot of people who do not change didn't or didnt' change much probably live near where they grew up and didn't change their settings making change much more challening than it was for someone like me who got the hell of dodge after getting a high school diploma

@robertsnj I did the same thing, as far as moving far from the small town I graduated HS in. Interesting observation about not changing much if you stay close. Fun fact, the county I lived in is called Dodge County, so I did indeed get the hell out of Dodge 😆🤣🤣

@come2gether funny story and am happy for your outcome. i don't think many people can grow after high school if they stay in the same small town and marry their HS crush / feels like a bad idea for most people

@robertsnj very limited opportunities. Career wise I've been much more successful on the path I took
I would hate to be stuck in the past. I was academic and athletic. Still loving learning and athletic as I can be. It is irrelevant what they thought I was because I have evolved.

@PoetryNEmotion good on you!

Fairly accurate except for the "Most Athletic" part. I'm so far over the hill that I don't remember where the hill was.

I look a little different but that's about it.

@skmokisses 30 years later you look very much like that, good genes!
skmokisses · 46-50, F
@come2gether Minus the change of hair color. Yea, I definitely credit the genes....was blessed in that respect.
akindheart · 61-69, F

come2gether · 46-50, M
@akindheart interesting!
Pretzel · 61-69, M

And yet the same
come2gether · 46-50, M
@Pretzel that's what I think as well, of my experience that is 😆
