Not really a practical solution because growing own food isn't free either. In terms of costs and effort spent, it would probably cost more. Also I don't imagine too many people have the garden space to grow much more than a few meals worth at a time.
Problems never solved, just rearranged.

Nah, they'll just steal it from you instead.....
Or they will jack up the price of seeds seriously and claim "seed flu". 🙄View 1 more replies »

@dubkebab Yeah I mean I imagine the work and money put into growing one's own food would just be way more money than rising grocery costs.
I think gardening as a hobby is great but it is not a way to "beat the system".
Plus what would someone do about meat, fish, poultry, bread, etc? Who wants to live solely off vegetables?

@Punches 4$ for 25 seeds for green snap peas. If 20 plants produce .5lb each thats 10lbs for 4$ or at $1.79 a pound ($17.9); you do the math. Savings is noticable. This is what trumps policy will require for the citizen to survive. That much more money for meats fish and dairy. Cost savings

Yes, my shopping list:
Seeds
A Cow
3 Chickens
A butter churner
A case of candles
Fire wood
Did I miss anything anyone? 🤔
