If a shop has a sensor at the exit to alarm when some thieving bugger walks out the shop. How come they don't have one that goes off,-

when someone pinches a grape?

I overheard once in a Big W that they like to set the alarms off in the store whenever a shady person comes in, so they'd think twice about stealing.. 😅

I've walked in and had an alarm go off on me. At first i couldn't figure out why. Finally i found out that It was make-up from a different store that had a sticker on it. I finally just took it out of my purse. I got tired of alarms going off every time i walked into a store.

Everyone at the bookstore where I worked was happy when we learned we were finally going to get cameras. We had a major shoplifting problem. So where did they put the cameras? Above the registers. Morale was always bad there but it soon reached a new low.

@hunkalove That's awful, but you got to work in a bookshop. I've always wanted a job like that.

@Thevy29 Minimum wage retail job. I loved the books. I liked some of my coworkers. A few of the customers. But mostly it was just retail hell and the worst managed business I've ever seen. Management made it very clear employees didn't matter. I was lucky if I got to eat every day. Worst job I've ever had and I've never had a good one.

@KiwiBird I didn't mean it the way it sounded 😅 I have a backpack that I put shopping in and after a few stores, it can set of the alarm or two in a few other shops.
