How many great loves have you had in your life?

A "great love" is a romantic myth that we should not be used to measure real life. I have had one, my hubs. It's not perfect and it's not "great." It's imperfect and messy and sad and happy and always has been like this. But he is my best friend and my rock and we love each other.

Where I gave up my heart and soul. Let my walls down, let them see the real me.

Three real honest true loves. Where I had my heart broken, stolen, crushed and destroyed. My second marriage saved me, gave me hope, gave me the power to love again.

We are past 20 years together and working on 30 years together.

Without them, I would be nasty, mean, bitter person. When you see them, You better thank them, I do everyday. I smile everytime they come into the room. I just have to hug them and say "I love you"

That depends what you define a "great love" because I only had one extremely passionate love, which will always be the most special thing I ever experienced -- but I am with another man now, whom I love in a much more grounded sense. He and I were never even in love but we truly mean the world to each other, and could never dream of hurting one another.

@Blanchy It is what you define as love not me.. Passion is one thing. Security is another. Some find passion is necessary only. Many settle for safety. And they regret the lack of passion. Never in love? God. I couldn't love nor live like that with someone. Oh, well, it is your choice. We are each different in love and in life.
