I am pro choice in case of medical crisis, pro life leaning anti natalist..due to me hating the idea of life not being cared for,

both IN the womb, and out of it..and of people selfishly having children as accessories..to muddle through the pain of their own lives. But, I submit to you: perhaps I am just depressed and alone, ha.

It’s just so unfair how there are some couples struggling to conceive , spending thousands on IVF and no success , while the person who doesn’t want kids and don’t care for them get pregnant so easily.

@LeopoldBloom @foldedunfolding Everybody who gets an abortion uses it for birth control, that’s what abortion is.

@foldedunfolding Quit judging people for making medical decisions about their own bodies when you don’t know all their circumstances.

@Theyitis lol wtf..i legit said, IN MY POST, that i agree with it in medical crises..i owe you nothing

@foldedunfolding Good for you. You also said
but the people who use abortion as birth control ruin it for those walking around with miscarriages
Abortion is birth control. Why anyone gets an abortion is between them and their doctor and God. You don’t know if they got an abortion because “they just don’t care about life” or whatever.

That kind of mindset leads to laws that outlaw abortion “except in medical emergencies”, which is a meaningless clause because then the doctor trying to save a dying mother has to stop and think “is this technically a medical emergency yet, or not?” And treatment gets delayed until it’s too late.

I have no problem with someone being pro-life. I’m against the government forcing an 11 year old raped child to give birth to her rapist’s progeny. Call me crazy…
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@Bumbles I would do it just for the sake of the joke, but this is too serious.
foldedunfolding · 41-45, F
@Bumbles which would be..a medical crisis
Bumbles · 51-55, M
@foldedunfolding If her pelvis were wider I’d think the same thing.
So a ten year old rape victim should just give birth and give the baby up for adoption? If that’s too young, at what age would you prohibit abortion for rape victims?
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@LeopoldBloom I definitely don't think that's what OP is saying. She recognizes that a child shouldn't be forced to go through that, because it might kill her.

I hope I'm not being too presumptuous and putting words in your mouth, @foldedunfolding?
foldedunfolding · 41-45, F
@LordShadowfire thank you for this, and you are correct. i am def not interested in getting into an abortion debate..and obviously how is a 10 yr old giving birth not a medical crisis
@foldedunfolding This is why abortion needs to be legal with no restrictions other than having a doctor involved. I trust women to make this decision, not politicians. We're seeing right now that "common sense" restrictions like only allowing abortion to save the mother's life are leading to women bleeding out in hospital parking lots because doctors are afraid that if they provide care, they'll go to jail.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
Well, you're not alone in how you feel. The only reason I support removing any and all regulations on abortion is that the wrong people will ban it for anybody. I also think it's a shame when people use it as birth control.

@foldedunfolding We already have way too much regulation on abortion. The only requirement should be that a doctor be involved, same as any other medical procedure.

The idea that doctors are pushing women to have abortions for their own profit is insulting. A doctor will make far more money if the kid is born and from pediatric care. Believe it or not, most doctors go into that profession because they want to help people.
