@lonelyloner For answers we can always turn to the Lord, in prayer. All the answers to life are found in God's Word, which has sustained me for 51 yrs. now. He is there to help us and guide us through life and gives us wise answers.

@lonelyloner that's okay. But sometime in your life you may want to turn to Jesus for help. It's not being spiritual or religious. Those two things don't reply to a relationship with Jesus. Spiritual can mean worshiping any entity deity. It's not a one-on-one relationship with the person of Jesus and that makes all the difference in the world. You would be communicating with a real person who has your best interests at heart at all times and knows and feels everything you do. And he loves you so much, he has the very hairs on your head counted and he knows when each one falls. He loves you with all his heart. If in the future, you ever find you need him, just pray to him and he will definitely hear you. No matter what time of day or night, he will always hear you and he wants a relationship with you. Have the best day ever. ❤️🤗

@LadyGrace In Buddhism, forgiveness is understood as a way to end suffering, to bring dignity and harmony to our life. Forgiveness is fundamentally for our own sake, for our own mental health. It is a way to let go of the pain we carry. I accepted that my aunt abused me once and let that experience go as soon as possible. Never spoke and thought about her ever again

@val70 That goes for Christianity as well. Forgiveness is for us, so it doesn't eat us up inside. Besides, those who suffer from abuse and carry that with them the rest of their lives, the abuser knows nothing of their suffering anyway, so we're the only ones suffering, because they don't care, so we carry it needlessly when we can take everything to God In prayer and let him heal us. Like that old, beautiful hymn says:

What a Friend we have in Jesus,
All our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry
Everything to God in prayer!
O what peace we often forfeit,
O what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry
Everything to God in prayer!

Have we trials and temptations?
Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged,

Can we find a friend so faithful

Jesus knows our every weakness,
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
