Gen Z person refuses to work at 8 am, his boss is mad.

I'm sorry but Gen Z is just smarter, they know enough about corrupt employers that they won't be push overs as everything is freely available to look up. That's the issue here when employers get all hurt want to complain on live TV, talk about cringe.

The way this guy handled his irresponsible employer was good though, I liked his response. If it's a 9 am start day, it's 9 am, if it's 8 am it's 8 am. As a person who is recently looking for a job, I can't tell people how much businesses are lying about everything literally. It should be illegal with how much they lie 馃ぅ honestly.

People are tired of the work force like Gen Z, they know their worth. They are over worked, underpaid and they know this.

We can talk all day about how we're working harder because the system is screwing us over and because of corruption we now gotta work 8 to 16 hours, six days a week almost to make ends meet, when it wasn't that much before but that's not the point.

The point is that Gen Z knows their worth and is not having it, so good on them.

Just putting this out there.

Humans are the only animals that pay for the privilege of being on this planet.

@LordShadowfire You are 100% right.
@SatanBurger Thank you.

@LordShadowfire yeah, so much for technology and automation giving us a three day week馃檮
SatanBurger36-40, F
@OogieBoogie well we could quite easily but red tape doesn't allow for it. There's a bunch of reasons why but it's mostly due to inefficiency.

@SatanBurger ive read that studies have shown that in many jobs, efficiency goes up when employees have a better work/rec relationship.
Even in my job which is physical, we do better, get more done, when we take a longer break than we are suppsed to. Its like it gives us time to reset and work better .

I wonder if its just down to greed. 馃し

@OogieBoogie Oh me too. Actually the more freedom I have, the more I actually want to work. I've found that while I don't have a job at the moment, driving for GoPuff, door dash, Uber eats... actually made me care about customer ratings because it was like working for myself. Even when I was originally the worst at customer service.

I noticed that when I myself own something, it kind of hits differently. So I wouldn't doubt that studies show that about longer breaks and I'm not surprised but it would be greed, I suspect you're right.

Though the issue with those delivery services is that they don't pay well enough in my area to make a job out of it. But you get the idea.

I'm the same way. I want to start doing creative shit again, but I'm spending all my time doing bullshit for my dad instead. And when I'm not doing stuff for him, I'm waiting for him.

@LordShadowfire Yes you get me I feel.
