If you are in your 40's or you are over that, what suggestion do you have for a man in his 30's?

Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
If you're single, travel.

Plan where you want to go carefully.
Let people know where you are; when you intend to leave a destination and when you hope to arrive by.
Keep a diary. Write letters and take photos. Produce a blog. Sample food; architecture; music; theatre; art.....everything !

Then come home and write the book 😀
@Picklebobble2 oh.... i thought of travel too!

It may not matter Riemann. You are in Bangledesh and most of us are in the USA or UK The cultural differences are so much. My 30's was probably completely differnt than yours but similar to a lot guys in the west over here. I hope you are having a good Ramadan.

@robertsnj I am in the UK. Bangladesh is my motherland. However, everyone has the potential to achieve, no matter where they are.

@Riemann Your mastery of English is impressive. what job skills do you have? Are you expecte to marry a Muslim on day? Beyond I would say work out even if you don't want to. Your work habits in your 30's will make life easier or harder when you are north of 45. Try to find a skill the marketplace finds valuabe and if you can (and I know it is hard) try to put away some money when you can.

Don't rely on pensions to provide what you need when you want to retire. Take a portion of your earnings and put it away or invest it. Learn about all the ways your money can make you money and be careful of high risk. I knew someone who invested in high risk and in one year almost lost it all. I wish I had done this when I was your age or younger but at that time, pensions, 401k and social security, government retirement plans and such were more stable. The financial state of this world is becoming more and more difficult to ensure you have a good retirement so plan ahead.
@Luckylu a lot of later happiness will depend on following this advice.

Don't waste time. Stay focus and get going. Start small if you don't get good chances by life. You will be doing great by the time you are of my age.

I’m turning 37 in June, I’m not a man…

My (most likely unwanted) advice is to pick up hobbies and feed that willingness to learn (it’s there from the moment we are born). These things help *me* feel things I haven’t since being a child (and I didn’t even have a happy childhood). I also have kids so I think they make me look at things from a different lens as well

Just take care of yourself in every way you can, treat yourself like your own child
No matter what age you’re at… try to be mature while keeping the kid inside you …
