Something Ricky Gervais said about science and religion:

“If you could somehow erase all knowledge and all written record of both science and currently existing religions then come back in 1000 years time, science would come back because it’s observable, testable and works within a set of rules. But religion would stay gone, because there’s no continuing activity for it.”

I would have to disagree only because of the fact of how many religions there are

Religions only exist because people make them up. And if we accept that fact, what value are they?

@WintaTheAngle well I do believe in God I also believe a lot of religions are there just to make the pastor's wealthy look for a church where the pastor has a large congregation but he himself or herself has a set salary not based on collections
