We are having a beautiful day here awell a few early blooms can be seen
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Monday2 I think the wild birds are building nests and mating by now. And possums are on the prowl too, saw a lot of them as roadkills yesterday when I drove through rural areas to go to Oklahoma City.
That sounds wonderful, and inspiring. I'll make the best of my weather conditions here, too.

Being in Oklahoma, are you familiar with Roy D. Mercer?

@PhoenixPhail Oh yeah I am. We have a friend who went to medical school with him when they were getting their pharmacy degrees. He said the guy could change his voice and would call up his friends and pull practical jokes on them on the phone (before caller ID etc) and he’d see how long he could yank their chain before they figured it was him. Some didn’t. He must have been a riot to know. I bought a lot of his CDs and listened to them and put them on my IPOD and then sold them back to Hastings. I should have hung onto them. But can listen to a lot of the pranks on You Tube. He is (or was I don’t keep up with him) disc jockey in Tulsa and will still pull some pranks like that.
@cherokeepatti I have a lot of his CDs, and have listened to him for many years. Listening to one prank call he made, I had to pull the car to the side of the road and wait until I stopped crying I was laughing so hard. This was the one:

@PhoenixPhail Got him in the freezer right next to the Push-Pops. 😂 I like the way he adds so many details in his stories, the way he mispronounces his words, and other small things like telling the pet’s names and sometimes why they were named that. He really imitates rednecks around here too. This guy is laughing his butt off at the end. 😂 This is better than Texas tall-tales. He got a lot of the information he uses from working in the pharmacy. He’ll do some of his gags based on medical problems he made up and goes through a funny tale of different things they’ve done to alleviate it etc.
I think kids would wear shorts to school, no matter the weather. Lol
@cherokeepatti That is so true. Why they want to stand out there and freeze is beyond me.

@Sojournersoul When I was in high school no one wanted to wear a raincoat or carry an umbrella or wear rain boots to school. So a lot of soaked kids in some of the classes. Sometimes had to go to different buildings in the rain.
@cherokeepatti there will always be some of those kids. lol. We all had them.

I hope you had a wonderful day outside!
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@4meAndyou it was good but I had to go to sleep early, several hours earlier than I usually do. I guess I needed it.

@cherokeepatti You are just worn down, and with good reason. But you did have a lovely day outside...well worth it!
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@4meAndyou I had treatment on Tuesday is probably why. The side effects get a little stronger each time. Except no peeling skin on my palms and fingers or lips or sores on the mouth like before. I used a good cream for that & it is very effective.
