@pearllederman

Thank you for your ongoing support ..

🥰🥰🌹❤️

Fairydust · F
💯 being told I wasn’t capable of being successful, those words stayed with me, I had to prove them wrong, my determination kicked in. 🥰
Fairydust · F
@Soossie 🥰🌷✨

Right now I know much about Andrea Nicolai jiko,he is the American guy who first toured Gombe National park in Tanzania with it.He was with me at the interview and it has been some 12years before I have come across it.But I don't know where he is.
Juliuskihoza · 46-50, M
For sure it will be
RuyLopez · 56-60, M
I accomplished most of the goals I had set for myself as a young adult. However, the race has always been within myself so I still strive to better myself in some way. Not so much from a career perspective at this point in my life but more in attempting to keep learning new things and expanding my perceptions of life.
@RuyLopez

I can completely understand your point …

To me Success is about how you understand yourself and how satisfied you stand in your life …

Perception of life is a beautiful beautiful subject to talk about .. 🤗🤗
Juliuskihoza · 46-50, M
There you are ;you are very right;it has been a full perception for God is the only database of all we are doing with this world.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
Heres the one I kept with me all my working life...
“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan 'Press On!' has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.”
― Calvin Coolidge
@whowasthatmaskedman

Persistence is very very important when one has a vision and believes in that vision … thank you for sharing this very good quote ..
JustNik · 51-55, F
I would agree, since you put it that way. I rarely think of success as I’m typically aiming for a perfection I can’t achieve, so I spend my time on all those other steps and try to just enjoy the neverending journey of it. I think I’d feel a bit lost if I ever thought I’d succeeded. 😂
@JustNik

Lol … Im tired of take your answer as the Best Comment

I’m not going to give it to you this time even though your comment deserves it …

You’re the best … ❤️❤️❤️
Juliuskihoza · 46-50, M
Okay,have a blessed day and let God acompan your life.
Ynotisay · M
There's definitely some truth to that. But all things being equal I think access to a successful life (which is subjective) plays a big role as well. But no matter how connected someone is they still have to deliver the goods. I think sports is a good example. Barry Bonds grew up with a father who was also a great baseball player. So he was around it. But he still still had to perform. If he didn't he wouldn't have had a career. There aren't too many successful people who just roll over when things don't work out. They keep pushing.
@Ynotisay

Very true … circumstances are important but they can’t be a main factor of success if one has not the will and the knowledge to take advantage of it …
Ynotisay · M
@Soossie Yep. And that's why the "nepo baby" stuff we see a lot doesn't carry much weight. You still have to deliver.
@Ynotisay

Exactly …
Nitedoc · 51-55, M
True to a degree, but the majority of Billionaires inherited their wealth. Of course those who inherited their money are a very small minority.
@Nitedoc

And of course I’m not talking about financial success … I mean in general feeling successful and satisfied …
Nitedoc · 51-55, M
@Soossie I could get over the fact that I wasn't a self-made millionaire if I inherited a lot of money instead of made it myself.
romell · 51-55, M
Success is just smart work n not so much as hard work...a donkey works way harder than a race horse but e everyone knows how they are treated..
@romell

Success is about satisfaction of the outcome of what we have done …
romell · 51-55, M
@Soossie depends such a thing may not pay bills
Everything worth doing is worth doing well.
all of what you say is true
But remember,, you can do everything right and still loose, through no fault of your own.
stay the course,, keep your vision!
@SatyrService

I agree …. Don’t like to call it luck but we need to do the right thing at the right time, at the right place …
Musicman · 61-69, M
I agree and when you fail getting back up and trying again. One of the most popular products I have ever seen is a spray lubricant called WD-40. WD stands for water displacement. The 40 is for it took him 40 attempts before he got it right. Not everyone succeeds the first time. Get up. Dust yourself off and go again.
Musicman · 61-69, M
@Soossie Yes it does. Tired is far better than bored senseless in my opinion.
@Musicman

I’m with you on that … I think we both know that based on experience …
Musicman · 61-69, M
@Soossie Yes we do.
bookerdana · M
Or..you win POWER BALL and everthings "jake!👌
bookerdana · M
@Soossie There will always be pain and *bad stuff* but why not experience that stuff next to my huge swimming pool😹
@bookerdana

Lol … yes, why not ??
bookerdana · M
@Soossie I may need a back up..powerball being a gazillion to one
AntisocialTroll · 56-60, F
I think being a stubborn flucker who refuses to give up is also helpful, no matter how many times you fail you have to keep trying.
@AntisocialTroll

A very good point … Persistence is very important …
My dad called it "stick-to-it-tiveness" and he instilled that in me.
@BizSuitStacy

Is that a good thing ??
@Soossie absolutely. You'll never learn to truly succeed and appreciate success without some degree of failure along the way. You get back up and get after it.
@BizSuitStacy

I agree one hundred percent …
exchrist · 31-35
Yes and perseverance and getting a second oppinion
exchrist · 31-35
@Soossie i literally will never stop trying.
exchrist · 31-35
@exchrist

Good and you’re most welcome …
Everything worth doing is worth doing well.

Success happens when you persevere for what you believe in. It’s not always having the right cards in a situation.

It’s about knowing yourself (know what you can and what you cannot do yet) and persevering to overcome limitations.
@CookieCrumbs

Very true, however, to me success is a package of what we have done through our life and how satisfied we feel here and now …
Northwest · M
An old fashioned view, upended by the 1990s bubble, reconsidered when the bubble burst, re-upended by the heady 2000s, burst by the collapse of 2009, and now forgotten again.
@Northwest

Aww!!! You’re one of the best and knowledgeable people on SW … It’s very difficult for me to believe that you haven’t been successful in any part of your life and/or in overall … 🤗🤗
Northwest · M
@Soossie I've had a career that most dream of, and only a few achieve. I worked hard for it. I'm just pointing out that the study/work hard formula may not be the best ticket out there. Look at Crypto. :-)
@Northwest

Very true …. I agree … 🤗
akindheart · 61-69, F
and fortitude, courage, conviction and sheer grit. that is how i got through college. no one helped me. I did it all on my own.
@akindheart

Lol … My posts are usually open to any kind of opinion … thank you for sharing yours … 🌹
akindheart · 61-69, F
@Soossie you are a gem you know that? hugs to you my friend. and again, sorry i made it personal about me.
@akindheart

Aww!! Thank you beautiful … Honestly, it’s a pleasure to know you more in any way … 🥰🌹
Convivial · 26-30, F
The overnight success story that ignores an the hard work in the background...
Convivial · 26-30, F
@Soossie mind you, there is a quote from WC Fields i quite like... If at first you don't succeed, give up. There's no point in bring a dang tool about it 😝
@Convivial

Lol …. Or

If at first you don’t succeed, then next time listen to your wife’s advice … 🤪
Convivial · 26-30, F
@Soossie there's that too 🤣
Abstraction · 61-69, M
The success I most long for is teasingly just out of reach. It's the right vision. It seems impossible. I'm still moving forwards but it's a daily conversation with myself.
@Abstraction

I hope that you succeed reaching that Vision ….
caPnAhab · 26-30, M
At this time I need to muster up the courage to move on. I can see the vision, it's just extremely daunting..
@caPnAhab

The first step is always the hardest step to take and when you take it then you’re on you’re way to it … you might fall and fail but stand up again and again to be on your way to that vision …
caPnAhab · 26-30, M
Thanks @Soossie. First step is definitely most important
calicuz · 51-55, M
I agree 💯

You have to put the work in.
@calicuz

Thank you sir… and the answer to my question is??

🤗🤗
calicuz · 51-55, M
@Soossie

Sorry, I just figured out what the question is......lol....

I'd say I'm at the "courage and knowledge" stage, and pretty much just biding my time until I retire. I'm certainly not as ambitious as I was when I was younger, but I have nothing to prove at this point and choose to focus on family.
@calicuz

Bravo!! You’ve done a great Job … you know what I mean … Success is all about choosing a path in life, and how you take that path …. Mostly about your satisfactory of where you stand in life … 🤗🤗
SW-User
Success hinges on our willingness to start over; this perseverance.
@SW-User

That’s one important factor of success ..
Livingwell · 61-69, M
Agreed. In other words... apathy. And then they wonder why life is so hard.
@Livingwell

Exactly .. 🤗🤗
Tminus6453 · M
Timing and some luck should be considered
@Tminus6453

Yes, right time, right place, right circumstances … I agree ..
antonioio · 70-79, M
Try and try again and again ❤️🤗
@antonioio

And never give up …. 🤗
HumanEarth · 56-60, M
I am sitting at my computer desk
@HumanEarth

Good for you … Hope it helps ..

@PoeticPlay

Nice …
Guardian · 56-60, M
Makes sense.
@Guardian

Thank you …
@Underconstruction

Important factor … 🤗❤️
sarabee1995 · 26-30, F
Agree 100%.
@sarabee1995

Thank you sweet Sara … 🤗🌹
Juliuskihoza · 46-50, M
It is not surely accidental.But success is within the range of the History and god reference of kind and godly people who try to follow and commit the law of the lod to the lonely man like me in Tanzania.
Abstraction · 61-69, M
Success is in becoming - and that's what you are describing. And if you 'succeed' without becoming your success is hollow.
Success is also subjective and can look different to various people. 🤔
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@bijouxbroussard Agreed. I had my goals set around family, caring and support from day one and never waivered, achieving only what I needed to meet those ends.. Everything else fell into place..😷
