A Man is a biological male with good character and morals.

@SlaveEt and what happens when someone is not a man?
sunriselover · M
@SlaveEt That cuts out British Conservative politicians then.

I don't understand your question.

If we consider the character and morals of any given politician I would question their manhood and womanhood regardless of political affiliation.

The only problem I find with morals is they are personally based and a man is only held accountable to himself for what is right and what is wrong to him. While this works on some level, it only leaves him accountable to himself and possibly a god, but not to anyone else, not even society. Morals also allow a man to condemn something, while participating in the condemnation and can somehow justify his actions. Ethics I believe are not interpretable and a man can be held more accountable.
I hope I'm making sense.

@SlaveEt i'm just pointing out that if someone doesn't meet the criteria for what it means to be a man, what is the person? Nongender? A woman? Not a person at all?
SlaveEt · 36-40, F
@froggtongue
I would think it would depend on why they don't meet the criteria.

@SlaveEt i'm not sure why there would be stipulations like that. If the biological male doesn't have good character and morals, what would it matter which reasons made it so. But for your sake, let's say this male was never taught any morals or character growing up. How would you classify that male?
SlaveEt · 36-40, F
@froggtongue
A brute, murderer, thief, roughian, etc. It depends on his behavior.

@SlaveEt ah. I see. So the word, 'man' for you is very much tied to how a male behaves and only has a loose kind of incidental connection with biology. I see. That's very enlightening. Do you also have the same or similar criteria for the word 'woman'?
SlaveEt · 36-40, F
@froggtongue
You misunderstand. The term man and woman is first and primarily tied to a person's gender. Then yes, afterwards it is tied to their behavior, similar to the way "gentleman" and "lady" are.

@froggtongue That will be interesting as her profile suggests she is a ‘sub’!
Are ‘masters’ real men then?

I am not a sandwich sir, I am a slave. I am submissive.
Those who can actually live up to the title of Master are indeed Men.

@SlaveEt Each to their own.

@SlaveEt forgive me. I'm not exactly trying to trivialize the male aspect of your definition of what being a man is. It does indeed appear to be part of the basis of your definition of a man. My point was to point out more that the ethical and moral parts of your definition take at least just as much of an important of a role in it.
Again, I ask, what is your criteria for 'woman'? Is it similarly the same? Do females drop any 'woman' role if they behave in different manners?

A woman is of course an adult female but also of good character and morals like a man would be. A Lady or a gentleman have an even tighter definition.

@SlaveEt a tighter definition? Please explain.

@SlaveEt I find your perspective quite intriguing. I wonder where you would put me in this
