I have never known why things happen as they do . life is a mystery .

Domking · 61-69, M
Well, no point wasting too much time on all whys.
And, at times it's more fruitful to ask HOW !!
Not that I don't have an enquiring mind. I do undertake some scientific, logical research on various aspects of life, but I don't get carried away with it.
StanleyStark · 80-89, M
@Domking Thanks for your comment.
StanleyStark · 80-89, M
@Domking You don't get carried away? Not even a little bit? lol.
GuyWithOpinions · 31-35, M
Yes. I did at a time. Then this one guy brainwashed me and fucked up my entire way of thinking. Now im constantly resisting my self into exhaustion.
StanleyStark · 80-89, M
@GuyWithOpinions Brainwashed eh? Fuck me I hope you eventually get over it dude.
SW-User
I try to but I tend to go over and over things trying to make sense of them. I can’t seem to stop.
StanleyStark · 80-89, M
@SW-User Yes, I know, going over and over things can be a pain in the ass can't it?
SW-User
@StanleyStark such a waste of time
Queendragonfly · 31-35, F
Yes plenty of times. I use the quote from a movie going "Accept the mystery"
StanleyStark · 80-89, M
@Queendragonfly Accept the mystery eh? I kinda like that, lol.
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
No. Science is a cycle of observation, questioning, and developing theories... non-stop.
StanleyStark · 80-89, M
@MarkPaul I never thought about science dude but, it does have a ring of logic to it.
helenS · 36-40, F
Certainly not. Most definitely not.
StanleyStark · 80-89, M
@helenS Definitely not. Now that comes across to me like you have definitely made your mind up darlin, that's cool.
helenS · 36-40, F
@StanleyStark I'm not a Gnostic, but I firmly believe that knowledge (= understanding the reasons why) is my way to salvation.
SW-User
Yes
Acceptance is much more peaceful
StanleyStark · 80-89, M
@SW-User Argh! Good thinking I like that.
Nitedoc · 51-55, M
No. But I have to just accept some things.
StanleyStark · 80-89, M
@Nitedoc Some things? Ok, I guess most of us do that.
dancingtongue · 80-89, M
Nope. Curiosity may kill the cat, but it keeps the human brain alive.
JimboSaturn · 51-55, M
No, I'm a curious person by nature.
StanleyStark · 80-89, M
@JimboSaturn And there's nothing wrong with being curious dude.
uncalled4 · 56-60, M
Pretty much. I do wonder, but as Paul Simon wrote, "The information is unavailable to the mortal man".
StanleyStark · 80-89, M
@uncalled4 @uncalled4 The information is unavailable to the mortal man is it? And how does he know? Oh! Is one of his songs isn't it?
SW-User
Yeah, it is how it is.. We need to just enjoy life as we can, there's no program
StanleyStark · 80-89, M
@SW-User Enjoy life, I couldn't agree more dude. Good thinking.
