In your opinion, what is the most pressing issue facing humanity today, and what role do you see yourself playing in addressing it?

Just want to know...
billionaires who feel they were born to control all our lives..

What we humans are doing to our planet - we are slowly killing our environment and it's going to bite us in the sit-down. The most obvious is polluting the air we breathe and the water we depend upon, releasing harmful chemicals into the atmosphere, and plastics in the ecosystem.

And yes, climate change is real, both the natural changes that have occurred over millennia and what we humans do to accelerate change.

@Ontheroad Little can be more eloquent about who you are dealing with than a person using the word "sheeple" 馃槀

The manipulation from authorities. Just look how crazy people became by following the news about covid. People had divorces and cut off close family and friends for good, started harassing one another in street protests when they should have been at home, keeping distance.

It was a really powerful weapon against the population leading to dividing us apart, making us weaker than we already are, and this wasn't the last time.

Covid the virus killing people was scary yes.

But normal people's changed behaviour the second they were told to exile people without vaccine was way more frightening.
It was like half the world became robots.
I don't need to explain where in the history we've seen similar behaviour before do I.

I think meaning I don't think anyone knows what they are working and living for anymore. It used to be family and God, but both of those feel like in the past. My role is to live my best life and try not to ruin anyone elses.

The affects of climate change and more extremes of weather.
The seemingly constant messing with food re: additives and chemical engineering of it.
Air quality and the numbers of children with breathing problems they were born with.
An ever increasing elderly population and fewer younger generation coming up behind them because we're having fewer children.
The dumbing down of facts because they don't suit the political narrative.

Planet Earth has problems
@Picklebobble2 climate change is a hoax.
Picklebobble256-60, M
@AwakeningConfession221122 Evidence please
@Picklebobble2 since when do cows farting cause CO2 emissions?
And they want to reduce carbon? What do you think we breathe out to the trees and the trees breathe in? Carbon dioxide. 馃お馃お馃お馃お

The combination of environmental degradation, and industrial feudalism.

What am I doing about it? On a small scale I鈥檓 spending more and more of my time looking at things that we think are trash and finding out ways that that鈥檚 just not so. The waste stream is treasure wedding to be found. And not theoretically, I actually regularly spend time doing that work. Nothing I can do about changing the climate Terry disasters

As for the other, that is a more complex answer. That would not play well in these little windows of text

Modern day slavery, a.k.a, the rat race. Our ancestors were explorers, being free and all. We, on the other hand, have to work our asses off for people on top to gather more wealth. I guess the gears are turning and there isn鈥檛 anything we can do to stop it. If we stopped, we鈥檇 become like those homeless people without much going for them. Damn if we do and damn if we don鈥檛. There鈥檚 not much we can do except going homeless.

Overconsumption. This will show up soon in fresh water. Oil is a given, but the market and pricing will take care of that. Food, and raw materials for energy are already underpressure.. And the usual way to deal with these problems is a series of small local wars to starve out one side of whatever resource is it question..馃樂

Income inequality while not most pressing would fix most other problems (finally enough money) a flat rate income tax would do this. Food insecurity is number one housing is a huge issue. And those are my top 3

Unrecognized forms of mental illness. Like fascism is def a mental illness in my book. It lowers the quality of life for both the person that has it and the people around them.
Totalitarianism, nationalism, conspiracy thinking, magical thinking, religious zealotry, etc...
All are forms of mental illness that humanity refuses to see as such. But all bring distress to the sufferer and or the people around them.
But without acknowledging them they will never be treated. Without treatment we are still going to have dictators and suicide bombers.
