Does an animal's life has the same value as a human life?

We are at the pinnacle of the evolutionary pyramid. But does that give us the moral right to end anotherlife? Or does the rest of life exist to supplement our survival and happiness?

We are animals (mammals) ourselves despite religion attempting to make out that humans are not animals but some sort of elite being.

@zonavar68 Yep. We are members of the genus and species homo and sapiens and primates. The religious folks cling to the notion that we are superior because we were made in "God's image" but thats ignorant bullshit from a time where the default to the lack of knowledge is "God's work".
If we were truly superior,we'd stamp out this ignorance and accept reality. God, Buddha,Alla, Zeus, and Flying monkeys are just delusional wishful thinking
