Why do people iron??

I have no idea why anyone would iron clothes regularly. I iron the occasional item but in general, no way! Such a waste of time. Hang it on a hanger to dry and it won’t be creased.

My mother almost had a heart attack today when I told her I haven’t got my iron out in about 6 months.

As I told her, she has time to waste! I do not 🤓

If you have ever owned anything made from pure cotton or linen, you would know why people iron. Most of that stuff wrinkles up really badly when you wash it, or wear it.

@4meAndyou The old summer linen pants we used to buy came out of the dryer looking like accordions. The newer mixed fabrics are so much easier to take care of.

@SW-User I have a cheapskate streak running through me...I love clothes but I hate to pay a lot for them...so I order things from Tajikistan, and from China, and India, and often they are JUST like the linens and cottons of 50 years ago. Wrinkly as hell...🤣
