New baby life

Our sweet baby girl is doing well. She is putting on some weight and is officially named. I think her body finally told her she needs to sleep because she sleeps a lot now in short but regular naps. I’m relieved that she’s kind of doing what she should be now and she isn’t so incredibly fussy. Still fusses a lot but it’s improving and she’s content when I wear her. Life these days is just about keeping the tiniest human I’ve ever seen fed and dry and burped. That’s our day on repeat. I can make up a bottle in my sleep now. Feels like we make a thousand a day. I dream about counting scoops of baby formula

I’m scared to take her out still so I just stay home and my husband takes the big girls out. I was going to take her for a walk today and then I had visions of myself tripping over and falling on my face with her in the baby carrier on my front. I decided it was foreshadowing and we stayed home.

I haven’t left the house since bringing her home but I am almost brave enough! Soon…

Congrats I'm sure she's beautiful :)
You’ll get there! You’re learning so much, so fast now already! I’m glad she’s settling in and sleeping better ❤️❤️❤️

My biggest fear was always knives. Like, every time I’d see or touch one I’d have horrible visions of every possible scenario to fall, drop it, or somehow end up catapulting the thing and killing my kid!! I doubt any parent has had knife safety as strict as me 🤣🤣🤣 I’m mostly over it now, but my brain still panics over worst case scenarios once in a while lol

@cherryxblossom knives is a valid concern!! lol everything is so scary when you’re a parent its insane
We are going through something similar with a granddaughter. Our daughter gave birth 2 weeks ago and they are staying by us for a few weeks.
It's so wonderful having a newborn in the house and helping them in the first few weeks! 🍼
@seana no , she's our sixth.
Previously we had 3 granddaughters and 2 grandsons

@BridgeOvertroubledWaters that’s quite the little crew you have there. So sweet
@seana thank you.
It's when you realize (besides your own kids) that you can love someone so small and so innocent without boundaries
