Do you think present generation is emotionally stronger than previous one or it the other way around?@

Patriot96 · 56-60, C
Snowflakes. Everything, anything offends current gen
BlueVeins · 22-25
All it takes to trigger half the boomers is a black or transgender person sitting beside them on the bus lol. The other half can be some of the strongest people around though.
Torsten · 36-40, M
@BlueVeins sounds like utter bullshit from a leftist lunatic
Slade · 56-60, M
@BlueVeins 'tard
Musicman · 61-69, M
Other way around. Not even close.
[big]HAHA REALLY??

LOL

of course not, as the years go by but especially now there are loads of snowflakes and brainwashed/conditioned people.

Plus they get triggered easily.

No generation in memory remotely compares with the Greatest Generation for strength.

They grew up during the Great Depression, defeated fascism, meaningfully advanced civil rights,
and defeated European communism.

@Thinkerbell any and every one of those sends Pics' head popping like a Titan sub
Torsten · 36-40, M
not in the slightest. show me any previous gen people having a complete meltdown if someone misgenders them or needing "safe spaces". Honestly people today are so mentally fragile that its beyond ridiculous
Purplerain78 · 41-45, F
I'd say previous generations are stronger. We were told to just get on with it. Nowadays if things aren't PC people have to shout about it. Obviously some things do need to be challenged but others aren't necessary.
My children do not need to be emotionally strong, because they won't have a childhood they need to recover from. They will know what people are capable of, and will know how to accept what people do, and what's the right response, but my children will not have to be emotionally strong, because they won't be raised in a harmful childhood that they need to recover from.
Really · 80-89, M
@MyMonstersAreReal God protect me from the perfect kids you think you will raise. (And they have my sympathy)
@Really I am not saying that I am trying to raise the perfect kids...i said my kids wont have a childhood that they need to recover from like so many from my generation did.
CestManan · 46-50, F
I doubt any generation is any worse than the others, it's just that people get older and desensitized and forget what it was like being young.
Purplerain78 · 41-45, F
@CestManan Your the same generation as me. Obviously it wasn't the same for everyone but parents did discipline, many did. My father was strict. He smacked. My mum used a wooden spoon to discipline us. If we didn't respect our parents we knew what was coming. Maybe you were one of the lucky ones. Oh and no I'm not exaggerating
CestManan · 46-50, F
@Purplerain78 mostly when I screwed up I just had to listen to my dad drone on for what seemed like hours about stupid crap. I would rather have just got whooped and got it over with instead of listening to a bunch of BS
Purplerain78 · 41-45, F
@CestManan Not sure you would do if you got smacked for just being a kid, messing about. It was daily. Bit of noise, me and my siblings being siblings. We'd each get a smack. It hurt, and was soul destroying.
luckranger71 · 51-55, M
All the old boomer farts claiming that they’re so tough. 😂. Kids today have it much tougher than in my era.
luckranger71 · 51-55, M
@Torsten in short the reduction of the middle class: The costs of higher Ed on all levels is astronomically higher than when I went to college. Add to that lower real wages over time. Not to mention the now generations that go to school with the ever present threat of a school shooting, something we never thought about.
luckranger71 · 51-55, M
@Slade Sorry, truth hurts boomer.
Slade · 56-60, M
@luckranger71 ok groomer

I think it's sad times for the present generation, not to believe in a prospering time. It's not their fault. They have been failed and encumbered with a very poor outlook and legacy. It's really a freaking shame !!! 😔

the other way around definitely, the present generation are crybaby snowflakes.
Health is strength. I think its harder to be emotionally healthy these days. 🤷🏾‍♀️
Queendragonfly · 31-35, F
It's less emotionally repressed which is a good thing. Especially for men.
TheunderdogofNY · 36-40, M
I think this generation is more emotionally charged when it comes to their beliefs
Gangstress · 41-45, F
Theyre just expressive and more tolerant of differences
Emotional strength is not depicted by a shrug of the shoulder and no fucks given its about actually dealing with emotions and being open and being vulnerable.
I guess emotional strength could be up there for debate to figure out its actual meaning coz im seeing a lot of childish words in this thread which little to no emotion involved
I think they’re more emotionally expressive, which is not necessarily a bad thing. We were more open than our predecessors, but there were still things even we didn’t discuss.

'Present generation' ? In my family there are 4 'present generations'. Most of them are a collection of different ages. What do you think you're actually talking about?
The ecosystem is dying and the
Americans work longer and die younger to kill us all. It's ecocidal.
Iwantyourhotwife · 22-25
It's hard to gauge. It seems toughness comes from guidance and mental fortitude
Starcrossed · 41-45, F
Which gen? Gen-X? Boomers? Zoomers? Alphas?
Really · 80-89, M
"All generalizations are false" 😄
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
What is a present generation?
I think they have very little self emotional regulation but feel freer to express them.
Which is both bad and good.
