Ever felt FOMO in life?

I am 22 and keep feeling FOMO most of the time especially when I see my followers on social media like Instagram enjoying their life hanging out with others whereas I am lonely and not enjoying my youth.

No, just basic envy when a lot of people I know travel and I'm always stuck at the same place. 😆

ig is fake. you really don't want what is posted on that app to dictate how you feel. just delete it if it makes you feel that way

Sadly what you see on social media is merely a construct of happiness, carefully orchestrated photos of events that are nothing like the photo might suggest. Life is messy, it can be boring, it can be hard, and of course there are moments of enjoyment, happiness. But no one likes to post the reality of their lives, afterall who would heart a normal day of nothing. I probably would but I am not like everyone else.

The fear of missing out (FOMO) is an emotional response to the belief that other people are living better, more satisfying lives or that important opportunities are being missed. FOMO often leads to feelings of unease, dissatisfaction, depression and stress.

Once in a while. But I get to go have fun some times.
Well, that's the design of social media (IMO). Get out and enjoy life, enrich that first, once that is better then maybe come back to social media.
No. Not everything is for me in this life. Do what pleases you and prioritize your wellness.

The fear of missing out is very common amongst those who desire to be a part of everything.

Yeah at 22 your youth ended 4 years ago. Time to put on your big boy pants and become a man.
