Do you feel YOU call all the shots in your life?
I read once in an article from PsychToday that you wont feel true joy until *you* call the shots in your life. I really liked that. But I struggle with it because I second guess myself so MUCH. 馃槦

Not at all.
Society calls the shots. If it was up to me, I'd be a housewife and dog mom in a cute little cottage somewhere. But in order to get all of those things, I have to follow the rules of society and work a job I hate, just to try to achieve my dream after retirement.

If this helps, I once read a wonderful excerpt by a great life coach..Martha Beck. She said if you truly want real joy, you will need to stray away from or alter your path from SOME form of society. And that people will question you, but do not pay that any mind. I liked that. So even though you may sometimes feel alone, you are discovering a TRUE path, not one just from the masses. Iam trying soon to do as she said but it definitely IS not 'easy' as you said. I want to feel that*I* am choosing for my life now, EVEN if mistakes occur on the way...not just living only by what 'society' tells me. People MADE up these rules, and sometimes we need to honor our own self, and occasionally live by our OWN as well
