Can you do 1,000 push ups in one go?

When I was in the Army, we had a two-minute push up test where 122 was the maximum for an 18+ year old, you got points according to how many pushups you could do in one minute. When you hit 122 you had the maximum number and got extra points. So, I would do 123 in a minute in a half and stand up once I heard the counter say 123. Every time the test give would say "Why did you get up" "you could have done more?", and I replied nope no extra points then I will save my energy for the sit up test that was next and walk away.

Now 57 years old and 11 major surgeries later you will get a middle finger if asked to do push ups. LOL
