What will you do today that tomorrow you will be grateful for?

It’s a bit silly maybe, but this is how I keep myself going through all the times in my life that are hard or that I hate.
But I can’t seem to think of anything today. Maybe I’ll do my laundry. Stupid laundry.

I’m preparing a bunch of freezer meals for my university kid. She loves the care packages!
@Lumberjack70 that’s so sweet of you!! I do this for my daughter from time to time. She has small kids, roommates and a lot of chaos around her. It’s nice to not have to think about dinner.
@Lumberjack70 Very thoughtful. You are creating memories you will someday cherish.

@Lumberjack70 That's awesome!
Trying hard to keep quiet as my partner continuously obsesses on Donald Trump. I just don't want to keep hearing it. It isn't healthy.

@Grateful4you I'm struggling to determine if you're being cheeky or genuine. Lol!
@Iwillwait NOT cheeky. Things are FAR too brittle right now!!!
Iwillwait · M
@Grateful4you Are we talking about hair or life?
Carissimi · F
I do this too. It’s a gift the “me” of today gives to the “me” of tomorrow. Whenever I do something I don’t feel like doing because I’m too tired or whatever, and I do it. The tomorrow “me” thanks the girl of yesterday for the gift. If we can gift to others, we can also gift to ourselves. 😊
GLITTER · 36-40, F
I get all the washing up done before bedtime so I don’t have to face a pile first thing in the morning 😊
@GLITTER I hate those piles and dishes in the morning.
GLITTER · 36-40, F
@TallMtnMedic yeah same it’s not a good way to start the day, I prefer to be more prepared and less rushed around
Heartlander · 80-89, M
Think ahead ... whenever you say to yourself that you'll leave it to tomorrow it's time to reflect on what you will think when you see it undone in the morning.

Is there anything that will ruin the joy tomorrow morning's coffee as you watch the sunrise better than a sink full of dirty dishes?
lost213 · 46-50, M
Ha! I was thinking.. Dishes
lost213 · 46-50, M
And what has you up this late. Or is it not late where you are at
@lost213 its 11, so...sort of?
Its a silly reason.
I have a bad habit of eating crushed ice in bed. It's part of my evening routine and without it, I jsut cant get comfortable. I just got home 45 minutes ago and I wanted a glass of ice for bed, only we have puppies now that sleep near the bed in their kennel.. The little girl puppy will wake up from a dead sleep to eat ice with me and then want to play. only, I dont want to play..so i'm eating my ice in secret so I can fall asleep.
lost213 · 46-50, M
@nonsensiclesnail we all have our special routines. And the girl puppy seems to be pickin up on yours..lol
Halloween stuff is down and in storage (which is something considering how much i have.

Plus, removed a pantry in my kitchen to open it up a bit, slid the new fridge into the spot, paint the wall behind it.

Bill Burr tonight!!

All in all, pretty grateful for why ill be exhausted tomorrow at work.
WillaKissing · 56-60
Being it is Sunday for me. I will wash dishes and relax resting my body for hard work cutting up treetops from a select harvest of timber for firewood tomorrow here on my timber farm.
MrAboo · 36-40, M
I work and put in my honest time every week. Then I know on my 2 days off I can truly relax because I’m not struggling to get bills and rent paid.

Rest sleep enough. Work 4 am.
Laundries an every day thing here. 10 people living here. Children and grandchildren and child’s girlfriend and daughters boyfriend most the time
@Jonjdw that sounds so busy!!! I hope the others participate. That’s the part I struggle with in my household. My son and grandson act like guests still. We’re working on it.
Curly00 · 31-35, F
Cleaning toys - it's like what I do everyday with my daughter, we clean the small mess they make together with her little brother. If we don't clean the mess then it's quite hard to walk around 😀
JohnnySpot · 56-60, M
No eternal reward will forgive us for wasting the dawn.
Is this why you’ve not done the dishes this month? @JohnnySpot
JohnnySpot · 56-60, M
@nonsensiclesnail When I try Seamus my old hound starts to cry.

JohnnySpot · 56-60, M
@BarbossasHusband there is a month's worth of dishes in the sink.
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
Washing my damn clothes
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
That's a good idea. I'm always unhappy when I can't find my favorite shirts, but I can't find them because they're always in the laundry.

I baked a dessert and made a meal that there is plenty left for tomorrow. And I washed the dishes. lol
SW-User
