Well I did it

So a couple of days ago I decided to email a place to become an end of life career but I didn’t hear nothing back so I decided to try another place and they emailed me back today.

I know the job will be hard work watching people on their death beds but it’s something that really does interest me and has for a while now, so I’m doing for it.

It's a wonderful occupation for those with the fortitude to handle it, the heart and compassion required and the desire to be there with the neede responsiveness and sympathetic understanding for the person and their family.

I had a relative pass in a Hospice a few years ago and remember very well the kindness that was shown to him and the family members by the people in the facility. You must be a kind/strong person to be willing to take this on. Good Luck.

{@twinkles] 😣the thing with this is difficult on one hand you want too make there finally days as comfortable as you can that goes without saying . sadly the part of human nature with warmth and kindness if you get to close and involved the final demise can be very upsetting . so what i am saying it is try not too be come too emotionally attached as you end up getting hurt by there death

Best of luck!!! MOST of the hospice workers where my mother died were so good to her. (Except for the cleaning lady who would only empty the bathroom waste bin on Tuesdays, when I was known to arrive).

Is this where you assisit someone terminal end their life with dignity rather than lay there suffering??

From the information she sent it’s basically just sitting next to the patient and listening to them and maybe making cups of tea for now! @GeistInTheMachine
