I always want to go from one person to the next when a relationship ends, because it's what I've done my whole life

Just try to find someone to fill the void and make me feel like I'm not alone. I can feel myself wanting it, even now.

But my self-esteem and issues make it really hard for me to form healthy interpersonal relationships.

I think I really need to truly stop looking and just focus on myself for a year or two.

I just really wanna fk 😩🤣

I just had to tell a coworker that. She had dated 3 different guys since moving here in January. They were literally cookie cutters. I couldn’t tell them apart. They all ended the same way too. With the guy threatening her. I told her to stop dating for a bit. Be comfortable alone. After I separated from my ex wife, I stayed alone for almost 6 years. I developed some of my best friendships during that time mainly because I was focusing on what I needed and not what a relationship needed.

@Josh1454 yeah! I've learned a lot. My last relationship really hurt, but I did learn how to keep a bit of a distance from him and not feel like I needed him. So while the breakup is still hurting me for fidelity reasons, I don't feel so shattered without him.

I've developed many good friendships in the past few years 😊 of being mostly single, and with one semi-serious relationship

Yes usually it's cause you dislike loneliness, or fear it or something related, usually about abandonment issues. I know that feeling cause I've made mistakes after being in shitty situations

@caccoon mm same like i love solitude but have cried lots of lonely nights and thinking about shitty attitudes of some people and bad experiences , like it's all hellish but I'm way better lately and making better decisions too..

It's natural to want to be with someone and be intimate but sometimes we have to be smarter than what we want and do what's best overall and not lose yourselves to whims that could go bad.. think long term if a relationship is good for you both.. cause a good relationship is a partnership
