I don't get why my friends keep getting married and having babies.

I get that the human race needs to continue, but why do people feel the need to have a family and all that? Am I just missing something? I have no desire to be in a relationship or even have sex or any of that. I just keep getting the feeling that life is just dull and pointless and the only way to be remembered is in the arts or making some significant contribution to science. I don't think I can do that if I have feelings for anyone. It would just get in the way.

@MrSmooTh you would have to meet your newborn baby to understand exactly what I mean… maybe it’s different for men (and some women)

It’s insane seeing them, they snuggle right into your chest immediately and it’s just the craziest feeling I’ve ever experienced

@WaryWitchWandering I just can't have anything like that. I just can't share my space with anyone. I always just end up pushing them out of it. I've just accepted that is the way I am and I'm ok with it.

It’s a human drive to reproduce. In a sense if you don’t have offspring you die… even more than actual death.

Survival is about the individual.

Saying the world is overpopulated and that you shouldn’t have children is like saying that there are 80 life jackets for 100 people and at least 80 people will survive …. So it doesn’t matter if I do.
