In your opinion, am I right or wrong for thinking this way?

If I say something that is reasonably tame in how it is worded and without the intent to offend anyone, but strangers are indeed offended by what I said, I don't care 🤷🏽‍♂️. If we are in public and they aren't annoying or hostile about how they voice their offense I may say sorry but I won't mean it and it wont change my behavior in the future either.

Communication goes both ways. You have a right to say whatever you feel and others have a right to feel offended by it. Everyone has different levels of tolerance and unfortunately that’s just how social interactions are. Not everyone will like what you have to say.
