I have always struggled with my weight. At the mid-level of my BMI I am still not thin enough for society’s standards, yet find my health struggles to maintain that weight.
Please don’t become me. Please don’t hate your body and see yourself as less of a person because of what you see in the mirror. You’re beauty goes far beyond your size.
Size shaming is the last acceptable public cruelty people can do so they run with it. They are ignorant…bottom line. It’s easy for someone to tell us to just work hard and lose weight. What they don’t understand sometimes is that constantly being stabbed with “helpful” criticism can actually make us feel more like a failure in our struggle.
Be you…your beautiful self. If you want to make a change, do it in your terms, not according to what others say or how they judge you. Be proud of every part of you.
