Who has it harder these days, men or women?

I was listening to someone talk on how men are 'disposable' these days is this true?
Both have an expectation and a battle to fight.

Men, 100%

But men will never be disposable, ever

not a woman so I won't assume their troubles.

but as a guy i have to try really hard to not feel replaceable, disposable or forgettable. let alone the stress of trying to be employable and trustworthy.

Overall I think men have a worse deal. There are a lot of scheemes and "initiatives" to benefit women but nothing equivalent for men. The UK Government has appointed a "Minister for Women" but there is no "Minister for Men".

There are calls to "make the streets safe for women" despite the fact that men are in far more danger in public - 4 times more likely to be murdered for example.

Male victims of domestic abuse are still routinely fobbed off by police - "It's not a police matter, sir" and there are very few refuges for abused men and their children.
People who are disposable aren't men or women or kids.

The disposable ones don't flatter anyone with promises to disperse the burdens of being alive. Everyone secretly wants others to ease their lonely burden, and some people can't comply with that wish/need. So they get ignored, unhired, unemployed, unloved, targeted, scapegoated or otherwise de-humanized.
Without a universal behavioral standard, it is difficult to say who gets it worse. People treat other people like they don’t matter, makes life harder for everyone.

If you don't look like George Clooney men have it harder.
But I'm disregarding periods because man, those must really suck!
