Overall I think men have a worse deal. There are a lot of scheemes and "initiatives" to benefit women but nothing equivalent for men. The UK Government has appointed a "Minister for Women" but there is no "Minister for Men".
There are calls to "make the streets safe for women" despite the fact that men are in far more danger in public - 4 times more likely to be murdered for example.
Male victims of domestic abuse are still routinely fobbed off by police - "It's not a police matter, sir" and there are very few refuges for abused men and their children.
