NYC..,greatest city!
@basilfawlty89 Yes, they SELL palm trees. Oddly, it doesn't give them a zone rating...

I've mostly seen palm trees in US growing zones 9 and 10, not 7 (like Staten Island, which probably only gets the 7 from being an island...).

It would be interesting to see if they actually thrive, outside, there.
basilfawlty89 · 36-40, M
@SomeMichGuy true, but the point is that certain species of palm CAN survive in NYC, but only in Staten Island, the rest of the place gets too cold in winter. I mean there wouldn't be much point in selling a palm tree of it instantly died, would there?
@basilfawlty89 You show proof that someone is selling them, but none that they are thriving in gardens there.

The point of selling sthg is to make money and lots of junk is sold for only that purpose.

If your point were valid in the way in which we would BOTH like it to be, there would be no planned obsolescence, and appliances made *now* would last far longer than those made years ago.

So I have no problem believing that a business will sell people what they want to buy, whether or not it will work out for the customer.

Now, I think you are in a state of disbelief that people won't scroll through a post nearly a year old in order to see if you've already given away the answer...which you have. lol 😉🤣🤣🤣
@SatanBurger I am replying to the OP, not you. lol

I just thought it odd that lots of people are replying at this late date with guesses...

As a Florida native myself I gotta say it looks suspiciously like this wacky, bizzare state.

This is circling back after a long time, but already spoiled. Hello from the Orlando area, fellow Florida dweller.
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@ViciDraco Ah so I was right yay. I didn't check the comments either, I'm proud knowing I guessed lol
ViciDraco · 41-45, M
@SatanBurger palm trees and the use of the word state limits it to California or Florida, pretty much. Not a lot of other places in the states with them.
