Sleek synthetic fur for me. I have a pom-pom on one of my hats made out of it and it's pure bliss every time I touch it. 🥴
If you mean something to wear for a longer time, I have no idea. Literally nothing is immune to my extra aggressive sweat, not even 100% cotton. So I might as well enjoy lycra or spandex. They're at least pleasantly elastic and smooth to touch.
I don't like linen. It's stiff, scratchy and bites. Hardcore synthetic materials that don't let skin breathe are horrible as well.

Angora is lovely. But I love all sorts of fabrics. I have garments made of silk, angora, wool, lambswool, cotton, linen, leather, suede, all sorts of man made materials.

I love brushed cotton, but I love the artistic designs on synthetic. But I can’t stand them in the heat. So I consider the temperature before choosing what I wear.

Pretty much all my tops are roughly 95% polyester and 5% spandex blend.
Cotton is my least favorite.

@hartfire Poly blend -
It is soft, it stretches, has a smooth texture, it does not shrink in the wash nor fade, it is durable.
Dislike cotton - It does shrink in wash, it is not real soft.
ALSO - I do not mind of bottoms like skirts or shorts are cotton/denim, but I am real particular about tops.

To be honest most fabrics bother me to an extent as they feel confining. I prefer well washed cotton or linen mostly. Wool and certain polyester fabrics cause me to itch.

best fabric for skin...is somebody else's skin!
I love silk.

I love silk/satin

@Starchild1983 What qualities do you most love about satin and silk?
(I take it you mean the real thing - yes?)

Silk, cashmere and merino wool are my favourites, I hate anything 100% polyester.

@AntisocialTroll Aah, yes, silk, cashmere and merino - so warm in winter - and yet breathing so freely. They are lovely.
Polyester - Polyethylene terephthalate or PET for short, synthesized from fossil fuels or organic sources.
Its production emits toxins into both air and waterways.
Polyester fabric releases toxic gas phthalates into the air and through contact with the skin. Exposure to phthalates can disrupt normal ovarian function by several different mechanisms, leading to reproductive and non-reproductive abnormalities. (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4313599/#:~:text=These%20toxic%20effects%20can%20lead,reproductive)
Sticks to perspiring skin.
Not as breathable as natural fabrics, thus creating unpleasant body odor.
Someone caught in a fire while wearing it is a guaranteed to have far more severe burns. The fumes are deadly. The cloth melts onto the skin, cooks it, and cannot be removed without also stripping the skin. The pain is torture.
Once in the environment, it takes about 20 years to degrade. It's a known hazard for aquatic animals.
