Delivery fee rip-off
I want to buy an item from one of the two major appliance stores here in Perth.
Perusing their Website, I found the item was only available online and was stipulated, "Delivery Only".
The item retailed at $300, with a delivery fee of $80 for a distance of 24 km.
No wonder these companies are making obscene profits.
Simply because Australia is known as a rich country, businesses will gouge the public every time.
I left them a message stating they had lost another sale because of their greed.

A few months ago I tried to order a pizza online. They wanted $5 and a 15% tip to deliver it two blocks. No thanks!

I know that feeling, there is no competition for delivery drivers for the big retail companies - Many and i mean many drivers would love to have a job like this and have 20 deliveries per day at $40 each delivery - $800 per day less expenses still means he makes a very decent living

@SW-User Gerry Harvey of Harvey Norman, personal wealth, $2.5 Billion. Still not enough. Must gouge the public more and more

@Gusman I had a feeling it was Harvey Norman, they are 5.1 klms from my house, and they charge $80

@SW-User They must lose some business through their greed, but not enough to affect the bottom line.
I always let those who rip us off know their greed is a disgrace, but they care not.🤷‍♂️

Just negotiate with them and dangle your business in front of them to appeal to their greed instead of trying to greed-shame them.
