@ViciDraco I've come to the personal conclusion that what others think is none of my business.

@Tibby Humans are a social species. We need each other. I would not say that what others think of you is not your business. But instead it should be more of a guidestone than a defining feature. Knowing can help highlight areas for self-improvement. But it also requires a degree of wisdom to filter out which opinions are reasonable vs. unreasonable. As not all people are reasonable. And even reasonable people might have insufficient experience with you to form valid opinions.

I guess the tldr is, it's complex.
