There is nothing suspicious going on. Obviously we do not have the real numbers of the actual infected because no economy can possibly track and test every person, and ensure they upkeep with them for any changes.
The virus is dangerous because it spreads much quicker than the flu and not only are there no vaccines ready ,and wont be for some months, but we also do not have the proper antivirus medication to treat it,as it is new,so it is harder to address when it starts to attack the respiratory system.
The fact that is spreads so quick and therapy is not as effective ,making it more lethal, has drained most of the economies and brought to light so many weaknesses of the public health care system. That is what is scary, because you have ,say, 10,000 people who need a bed in ICU but there are only 500 beds..what do you do? And this is why a lot of people will be at risk ,because if they need care and treatment it is not for a certain the resources will be available to them..
