Coronavirus-Whats really goin on??

What do you think is going on with this virus? Do you believe everything you are hearing and reading? Why such a huge reaction when only 108 people have died in the entire country?Any interesting conspiracy theories or truths out there? My mind continues to be blown and my gut tells me we are being lied to,or only being told half truths .Tell me your take.

Ethiopian politician and Director General of the World Health Organization (WHO), Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, claimed in a press conference in early March that the fatality rate for the coronavirus was many multiples that of the fatality rate of the common flu.
This egregiously false premise has led to the greatest panic in world history.
This inaccurate statement by the WHO director started the global panic.
