So I juuuust turned 30. Is this the fabled "mid-life"?

So I turned 30 in November. (Yeah that's right. Scorpio baby!!)
And now I feel like my career isn't what I'm supposed to be doing. Being an electrician just isn't cutting it. I've taken laboring jobs the last year. Threw tires in a shop, worked in a warehouse for Amazon for awhile. Hell I even got on a suit and did door to door sales, which is what I'm doing currently. Shouldn't I have a career figured out by now? I just feel like I've beeen living someone else's life for so long. Is this just a phase?

Nope. People live a long time these days, so you can look forward to the REAL midlife crisis when you are around 40 to 50.

The REAL crisis is when you have a huge gut from drinking too much beer, and you decide that you might look really great wearing a super long beard, and then you buy a motorcycle that's too small for you so you look like a clown riding a tricycle, and you decide that whatever you are doing is just not good enough, then you get really, really depressed, and you decide to go live in the woods and be a survivalist. 馃槈

@4meAndyou that was a rollercoaster of a read haha well I do feel relief. Suppose I'm just overthinking things

@emPATHicwarrior33 It'll be all right. Just don't drink gallons of beer every weekend and you won't want to grow the long beard to hide your gut...馃槀

@4meAndyou fortunately I drank myself into diabetes 9 years ago and quit drinking then haha and yes after smartening up the diabetes went away
4meAndyouF
@emPATHicwarrior33 Thank God for that. The rollercoaster story of mid-life crisis was partly true, and was based on the ex, who ended up with diabetes and and three blocked arteries.

@4meAndyou whooooa. That's pretty intense. Lifes a dam roller coaster in general hey??!

@emPATHicwarrior33 It can be...if you spend your life feeling as though you missed something, or want to go backward, as he did.

@4meAndyou I've heard as much. Just trying to figure out how to be more present. Feel like I've always missed something and you're right I don't want to go backward. Life is....just so layered
4meAndyouF
@emPATHicwarrior33 That it is. Enjoy each layer as much as possible. It's a path...and you walk along, learning and growing as you go.
