Do you avoid things that make you feel uncomfortable or do you meet them head on?

I’ve just promised myself that I’m gonna quit the avoiding thing.

But, forty years of this could be a very hard habit to break 😂

If they are unavoidable and involuntary, I meet them with a bit of gusto and give 'em a whack.
@TheConstantGardener this is fabulous 😂

mostly head on, but sometimes there are things that you just have to walk away from.
@goliathtree oh lord yes!
MissTaken · 36-40, F
Prefer to deal them head on and get them over with
@MissTaken seems to be the way to do it.

@SevenTierCrazyCake It works for me 🙂
@MissTaken the alternative has turned me into an anxious disaster. So, imma try to get my shot together here. Lol!
I used to. And then I learned some EFT and it’s helped me just do it. 🤗
@SW-User eft is marvellous like isn’t it.

I’m somewhere in the middle.

I often avoid things that are going to make me work around someone who’s an idiot but I can’t tell that person about life’s realities.

But, once I’m in it, I’m ok with discomfort. When I need a resolution, I find a way...
@JoeyFoxx 💪 yay!
JoyfulSilence · 46-50, M
I avoid. I skirt the edges. I try to go around. I let somebody else deal with it.

But if I have no choice, I put my head down and power through it.
@JoyfulSilence sometimes that the only way, to power through.
JoyfulSilence · 46-50, M
@SevenTierCrazyCake I learned that from driving on snowy roads.
@JoyfulSilence indeed.
I understand this feeling. I have mostly been avoiding it. But however when I try sometimes, there results are not so good 😬
@SW-User keep trying
@SevenTierCrazyCake I will 🥴
Well if avoiding the thing is causing as much distress as facing it then I face it. But in general I tend to avoid things that make me uncomfortable.
@MrBlueGuy that’s the thing. Seems to be ‘cause as much distress.
Melpomene · 22-25, F
If possible, I avoid it.
If it's something I'll have to do deal with in the future, I prefer to settle it now.
@Melpomene wise

It sorta depends. I found at one time a head on approach sometimes gave results better than I had expected
@wretch interesting
Sometimes you have to face your fears 😎♥️
@SW-User I did that this morning. & y’know what it wasn’t that difficult. After all that silliness.
Find out what you love and let it kill you 🤗 lol meant affectionately of course 😄🤙🏻@SevenTierCrazyCake
@SW-User Teehe! Yes, thank you. 🙂
rjc36 · 56-60, M
I have a tendency to avoid them if possible if not then there's no other choice than to face it head-on.
Degbeme · 70-79, M
I avoid as much as possible.
Degbeme · 70-79, M
@SevenTierCrazyCake Samsies...
