Australia's new Ambassador to the US is Arthur Sinodinos.
The same Sinodinos who oversaw the shenanigans involving Sydney Water Holdings (SWH), the dodgy company promoted by disgraced entrepreneur Nick Girolamo and his ally Eddie Obeid.
The commission was a particularly interested in the fact that large sums of money had been remitted to the firm to the federal Liberal Party, and felt that Sinodinos, in his joint role of SWH director and Liberal Party treasurer, might be able to help.
But alas, Sinodinos knew nothing – an important qualification for a front bench position within Government.
He was stood down from his role as Assitant Treasurer whilst an inquiry was conducted.
ICAC, "Independant" Commission Against Corruption found Mr Sinodinos free of any Corrupt Practices and reinstated him.
Corruption abounds throughout all Governments and "Independent" inquiries are a farce because the Members conducting the inquiries are appointed by the Government of the day.
