Most people here are regular sized and have no problems with their knees. You are absolutely so much luckier than I am.

Just spent three minutes, trying to figure out how to get up from my bed. It would so much easier, if it were some five or six inches taller. Going to the toilet for having a dump is very tricky, since the bowl is so low. Luckily for me, I'm tall enough to grab the handle of the door, both ways. One of the benefits of living in a very small apartment. Still... Everything is too low for my knees, since I'm about the size of Ganymedes.

You can buy 'furnitire risers' ...they go under the legs, they come in different heights.Google it, there's all different types.

But. Tpy could put bricks, or pieces of wood under the legs of your bed, even piles of a few books under each leg might help.

Every bit helps when it comes to getting that extra bit of height.

@OogieBoogie Yeah, I was thinking about plywood stacked and glued together. It would be easy to slip under the bed. Also, cleaning under the bed would be a lot easier.
@ZonkeyBalls that would definitely help for sure.
But you also might have to glue them to the legs of the bed so it doesn't slip off.

A body your size also has more weight , and has the potential to move a bed if you landed heavily. It could slide off the wood.

The risers have recesses and grips and things to keep furniture legs centered.

As to the toilet... Theres always the option of finding a tall chair, cut a hole in the seat, and glue a toilet seat over the top.
Then just put this chair over your toilet .
A friend of mine did that. And he screwed a grab handle the each wall.
Not sure if your land lord will let you , but it can't hurt to ask.

@OogieBoogie Thank you, very much, for the tips. Luckily for me, my bed is located in an alcove, so fitting a riser made out of plywood could even be the simplest solution. The chair could be a very good solution for my toilet problems. The person, who has drawn the schematics for this apartment, has put the bowl way too close to the wall, so a big fatty like myself has to sit down diagonally, since there is no room for my left leg otherwise. One solution would be to amputate the whole leg, but I wouldn't go that far just yet.
@ZonkeyBalls he he, if you were fat, it'd be ur ass , not the leg ,that would be the problem.

You just got a long body, means long legs,

The chair idea might even make it more comfortable, cos then you can just put it over the toilet on an angle the suits you,...and then you're not sitting uncomfortably on the seat.

And I know what you mean, years ago , my first flat was tiny, there weren't the building regulations they have today.
And my apartment was at the back of a house.
When I went to the toilet, you had to walk in , reach behind you to flip the door closed, then you had room enough to. Turn around, and close the door properly.
But you had to sit on the toilet sideways, and for a Woman with a small butt...that was dangerous ...I nearly got stuck once when I was drunk😁
