Why is drinking, smoking, and drugs while pregnant so discouraged but abortion is so accepted?

Having fostered an infant that was born addicted to drugs I can tell you from that experience that a baby born to a horribly addicted mom is one of the saddest things you can see. And they don't get off of it overnight. They get methadone for extended periods of time. They are wired and they will keep you up long periods of time without sleep. I thought I was going to have a nervous break down taking on that whore's responsibility and getting that child well. That child today still has issues with her health and went through school with a learning disability. She is in junior high and struggles with adhd and add and an abundance of health issues. I think mothers that have children addicted should serve long jail sentences because they have condemned their children to a lifelong hell.

Though they won't succeed in killing the baby, they will give it health issues, addictions, deformities, but not sweet everlasting death

Drinking, smoking and drugs do not kill a child. They will make the child have syndromes which can make their life a disabled hell.
So if you plan to carry your baby to term and bring them up, I think a bit of sacrifice is not too much to ask.

One removes an unwanted child or ends a failing pregnancy. The others could harm and disfigure the child before it's even born.

Realistically, all of those things can (and do) happen during a pregnancy.
Responsible people who want a child, desist with the drinking/smoking/drugs.
Many irresponsible people look at abortion as a favorite form of birth control.

I know that accidents can happen (the pill isn't 100% and condoms do indeed break), so I think abortion should be available, but not after the first trimester.

In an incredibly unpopular point of view, I think if you can't stand the thought of abortion, you shouldn't have one. If you want one, go ahead, but don't ask me to pay for it.

Well most abortions legally happen within 10-12 weeks. A woman isn't typically showing until around 13 or 14 weeks if not later. I suppose at the point you would see a woman drinking or smoking and know for a fact she is pregnant it is likely she is beyond the point of legally having an abortion. At that point she is just fucking the kid up with what she is putting into her body.

I’m surprised more people just don’t give the kids up for adoption to be honest... instead of destroying them ... one way or another.

It's your body and you have the right to do anything with it, even stab it or fill it poison and run naked on the street at 8 am

I don't think abortion should be an accepted thing. It's just people want to sound it like acceptable because it tries to hide/correct their mistakes.

They're happy for us to kill ourselves hence they gladly sell you tobacco and alcohol to make money.

Smoking is the only thing that is good for the baby

Even if you believe abortion is murder, which I don't subscribe too, it is like asking why the death penalty is okay but torture is not.
