Why is drinking, smoking, and drugs while pregnant so discouraged but abortion is so accepted?
Maybe they're are trying to kill their baby another way?

@SW-User Just playing devils advocate,(don't be pissed at me haha) many women also survive at home abortions and seem perfectly fine. Abortions can also hurt the mother too.

@SW-User I'm not pissed. I'm just laying my thoughts, as you are. There will always be exceptions to any scenario we have. But it is common sense that procedures that affect the body internally be conducted under professional care.
A person carrying out abortion has made their mind up about not wanting to carry the baby to term.
A person who indulges in substances while pregnant is too selfish to give up these substances that have a chance of risk to their baby.
Personally, I could not bear to even bring my baby to risk if I was pregnant. I cannot understand how any mother could. But thats me.
People will do what they do.
